The Verse Press
A press release translated into Chinese is not yet a China press release
The short answer
Translation keeps the words of a press release but not necessarily the headline, angle, outlet fit or naming that matter in China. Before distributing, check what already exists about your brand in Chinese search: reports in the last 12 months, the latest report and source, and anything outdated or inaccurate on the first page.

The usual shortcut
Many brands translate a global release and distribute it. If the translation is accurate, it can feel finished.
Four places a direct translation can fall short
Headline: written for the reader’s interest, not the company’s announcement. Angle: why the news matters to a buyer in China. Outlet fit: financial, trade and lifestyle outlets look for different things, so one version may not suit all. Names: one consistent Chinese name for the brand, product and company. This is a working method from our process, not a measured pattern: we don’t have data on how Chinese outlets handle translated releases.
An illustration (generic)
A headline that says ”[Brand] launches new range in Europe” tells a Chinese buyer little. A rewrite starts from what the buyer needs: where and how the product can be used and bought, and what after-sales support exists.

What we can’t say
We don’t promise coverage, placement or that AI assistants will cite a release. We don’t claim one outlet type outperforms another.
